Lenny Kravitz Strut Tour at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles: Simply Awesome!

The Lenny Kravitz Strut concert on September 11, 2015 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles was the place to be!  Lenny Kravitz and his amazing band created an incredible vibe that swept up the crowd from the moment the music started.  Lenny Kravitz lost his voice the morning of the concert, but that did not stop him from giving his fans 110% the night of the event! Lenny opened the concert with “Frankenstein” from his Strut album and went on to perform classics such as “American Women,” “It Ain’t Over,” “I Belong to You,”  “Fly Away,” “Always on the Run,” “Are You Gonna Go My Way,” and his musical anthem “Let Love Rule.”

Check out some of my photos from this spectacular event!

Will Smith's Blockbuster Power is Back with "Focus"

Will Smith is definitely back in the spotlight with "Focus" his latest film, also starring Margot Robbie, which opened in theaters nationwide Friday, February 27, 2015.  So far the film has already topped "Fifty Shades of Grey" as the No. 1 film in the country, grossing 6.5 million in the U.S. on its opening day.

"Focus" is about a con-man Nicky played by Will Smith who meets his match Jess played by Margot Robbie. This film chapters the charm and wittiness that Will Smith previously displayed in his 2005 film "Hitch" along with the intrigue and suspense showcased in his 1998 film "Enemy of the State."The pace and storyline of "Focus" keeps the audience engaged throughout the movie. Location also plays a big role in the alluring tone of the film with many of the scenes taking place in New Orleans.

For many years Will Smith was a Box Office magnet, yet more recently his films like "After Earth" had not generated the same buzz; however, "Focus" seems to be a step in the right direction sending Smith back on track as a Blockbuster artist.

Hopefully, Will Smith fans can also look forward to seeing him reunite with actor/comedian Martin Lawrence in a third installment of "Bad Boys" because if history serves correct that would undoubtedly be a Blockbuster film.

Empire's Jussie Smollet's Latest Venture

Congratulations Jussie Smollet!  Actor/Singer Jussie Smollett, who plays middle son Jamal Lyon on the hit Fox television series Empire, announced that he has signed with Columbia Records.  During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, when asked if there would be a Jussie Smollett album, he replied, "There will be a Jussie Smollett album. I signed to Columbia. So darling [Laughs] I’m label mates with BeyoncĂ© and Adele and Barbra Streisand."

It will be interesting to see if Jussie's music for Columbia Records will have the same smooth and sophisticated vibe that Jussie's character Jamal rocks on Empire.  Jussie's song "I Wanna Love You" from the Empire series could easily hold its own with many of the songs on the radio today.

Empire is Jussie's most recognized acting role to date, but Jussie's first television series was in 1994 called "On Our Own" with his siblings, including actress Jurnee Smollett-Bell.  Jussie Smollett is also known for the films "North" and "The Mighty Ducks" and more recently appeared in the television series "Revenge" and "The Mindy Project."

Fans of Jussie Smollett no doubt will be looking forward to seeing where Jussie Smollett's talents will take him, so far it seems to be headed all the way to the top!
